Kent Hanley, President

Biography

A seasoned broker, Hanley knows well the responsibilities and challenges of leadership in real estate firms. And his experience in industry networks and organizations taught him the value of connections among brokerage leaders and equipped him to help guide the support and development of resources in this network.

He most recently served as chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston, based in the “Research Triangle” area of North Carolina and one of the largest firms in the United States. There he led not only the real estate business but also the affiliated mortgage and title companies.

Previously Hanley was executive vice president and general manager for the Connecticut operations of New England-based William Raveis Real Estate, a top-10 firm. Hanley rose to that role after gaining experience leading property management, sales, residential and commercial lending, and overall operations for the organization. He has served as a director for both Connecticut (CTR) and National Associations of Realtors (NAR), has been both a director and chairman of the board for The Realty Alliance, has been a founding member and board member for UpstreamRE, and has been a participant in the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World network.

While he is passionate about supporting real estate brokers, he is perhaps even more enthusiastic about racing. If he is not behind the wheel, you likely will find him in the garage or working as a divisional racer’s representative within the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).
