Biography

Nancy Fennell is a Broker/Owner of Dickson Realty, Inc. which has offices in Reno and Sparks Nevada as well as in Truckee, California. Dickson Realty was founded in 1973 and currently has 230 agents and 20 employees. Ms. Fennell has been a REALTOR since 1985, beginning her career with The Shirley Zeitlin Company in Nashville, Tennessee, purchasing Dickson Realty in 1987 with her husband, Harvey Fennell. She is a member of the Reno/Sparks Association and has served on the Northern Nevada Regional Multiple Listing Service Committee for the past four years as well as various committees of the Board. She was a founding board member of The Leadership Development Council of The Nevada Association of Realtors. Currently she is involved with NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals) in northern Nevada. She is a past recipient of the Matt Gibbons Memorial Award, an award given for public service to the community. Nancy has been actively involved in the Northern Nevada community for the past 25 years. Her love of the arts has kept her involved with The Nevada Museum of Art serving as President, Trustee and executive board member. She is a founding board member of The Community Foundation of Western Nevada as well as a board member of The Thunderbird Lodge, The Nevada Women’s Fund, and UNR College of Liberal Arts and serves on the planned giving committee for Truckee Meadows community college. Originally from North Carolina, Nancy graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and attended Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Previously she worked in the fashion industry, marketing director of an electronic distribution company and VP of Marketing for the eighth largest privately held company in the country prior to purchasing Dickson Realty. She is married to Harvey Fennell, they have one son Tom who has joined their business and all reside in Reno, Nevada.
